Lithuanian netlle education in Lekėčiai

In Lekėčiai, at the Outdoor Experiential Education and Sustainable growth education, we gathered to learn about nettles. This "biting" plant has always scared us because it can sting. But yesterday we learnt about the benefits of this plant. It is an excellent source of calcium and minerals and more. Not interested? What do you think about the fact that energy bars, sweets, can be made from nettle seeds? Now we must be intrigued! Participants had the opportunity to make these healthy treats.

The aim of the project: to educate the inhabitants of small towns and suburbs in Lithuania and Turkey to be role models for environmental protection and sustainable practices.
