Today, participants of the Erasmus+ Outdoor Experiential Education and Sustainable growth project went on an adventurous kayaking trip in the Alytus district!
The participants not only enjoyed the beauty of nature, but also actively contributed to cleaning the environment by picking up litter on the banks and in the water. This activity was a good example of the importance of combining recreation in nature with responsible care for it. Participants were inspired by the opportunity not only to get to know Lithuanian nature up close, but also to contribute directly to its preservation, which left a deep impression and strengthened their connection with the environment.
The hike helped the participants to realise how each one of us can contribute to the preservation of a clean and healthy nature, even through simple actions such as picking up litter on the banks of a river.
The aim of the project is to encourage people living in small towns and suburbs in Lithuania and Turkey to get involved in sustainable, environmentally friendly activities and to develop a responsible attitude towards nature.
The project "Outdoor Experiential Education and Sustainable growth" is partly funded by the European Union.
